Sight / Scope for my PTR 91

I'm looking for a good tactical sight / scope to mount on my PTR 91.

Must be: Durable, trouble free, quick and easy to mount/dismount for use with iron sights if required, under $400 complete with mount. Anticipate 100 to 300 yard range with possibility of 500 yard targets.

I'm leaning toward the Hensoldt Fero Z24 Sniper Scope and Mount but I have a feeling there may a better way to go.

Any suggestions of what I should consider?

Thanks,

The Hensoldt is a solid scope, excellent glass. Another option is the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x fixed power scope. The scope has clear glass, target knobs, and fairly small overall length that won't interfere with the charging handle.

The possibilities are endless. Claw mounts would be the ideal choice and why not go with a Leupold?

I went with the IOR m2 on my HK93 with a stanag clawmount with the IOR stanag rings...really enjoy it. and the on/off and repeatable POI have been pretty remarkable. The IOR glass has me spoiled now.

Im in the same boat. Was considering an ACOG, but relaly dont want to spend $1000+ on optics. Ive got a Burris fullfield blasstiplex on my AR and absolutely love it. Its a bit long for the HK because of the charging handle and how close you get to the area where the objective of a scope will be. However, Ive become accustomed to the reticule, and so im thinking of just getting another fullfield for the PTR. The price is good, and so are the optics.

...if you're looking for that "original German" look.

Low profile mount (B&T, MFI) mitigates the need for raised cheekpiece to get a good consistent sight picture.

I just put a Burris FFII 4.5-16 w/ B-plex on a PTR. Fits perfectly--clears the cocking handle just fine. Excellent combo.
