Now I know nobody here has a crystal ball but was wondering if anybody wanted to hazzard a guess?

3 or 4 months and we'll have once again forgotten that primers will never again be made.

They're the ones lobbying for the foreign ammo/component import ban too?

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My local guy has plenty in stock. He has a limit of 2,000 per person per day but I saw cases of Winchester, CCI and Remington on his back shelves. I brought 2,000 last night at 28.99 per thousand. I got the same ones from him exactly one year ago and they were 22.99, so he's not price gouging either and that is why he has earned my business. Had plenty of powder too. I walked out with 4 pounds of Bullseye and 4 pounds of H335.

Stuffs out there, you just have to look harder now is all.

The local shop wants something like $42.00 for small pistol primers.

Sad. Hope that when the next wave comes and pulls the rug out from under prices, they get screwed.

When will primers be available again?

Primers are available...........

But, you gotta find them and be willing to pay the price.

<–––––––– See this guy, he'll sell you most anything (when there's a profit involved).

Aloha, Mark

I'm going to pick some .308 cases and primers tonight. Hopefully there will be some Rem 7 1/2's in stock.

I really need to inventory my stash to see where I need to balance the buying.

Holy crap, have primers gone up that much??

The last ones I bought was back in 97-98 time frame. Still have about 5000 each of the silver WSR, WLP and WSP from then. I think I paid $15-$16/ 1000

Glad I bought them when I did.

I've had better luck locally than online finding primers... Within the past week or two I picked up 4k small rifle primers at one local shop and 4k large pistol primers at another local shop. Both shops had more than what I bought in stock. Now if all of my backorders on Hornady reloading equipment will just go through...

When did they get so hard to find? I thought they were just raping people on price still , I didn't know they were all sold out. Makes me glad I stocked up before

Primers will be in short supply as long a tinfoil beanie wearing pollyanna's follow the Chicken Little crowd.

It is a form of cowardice, thinking there will be a ban. Fight the oppression, not the symptoms.

Primers, brass, powder, and handguns are just about gone. No 9mm or .45 ACP ammunition, or jacketed 9mm bullets (except for one box of Gold Dots), or .30 Carbine bullets.

Graf's had 4 new handguns in the case tonight and 3 used handguns, and they can't get anything in. Zander's web site has a feature so you can display only the firearms that are in stock; tonight that was one pistol. Graf's relies on sales of reloading components and accessories so this won't hurt them to the degree of stores that rely on firearm sales.

Craziness.

I also bought the bulk of my supplies during that time frame. I bought some IMI 55g 0.224" FMJs for 4ยข each, shipped.

You're all correct about panic buying, and I railed against those who did.....until I became convinced that the Dems would sweep the election. So, before the election I bought 80# of powder and 50K primers. Now, while I am not exactly proud that I engaged in 'panic' buying, I'm sure glad that I did. I did not, however, forsee the shortage of AR-15 parts, and now I am one of the customers waiting the obligatory 16 weeks for a bolt group for my Bushmaster. One thing for sure; the primary vendors are controlling the supply of products in order to artifically boost the price, and they should be made to suffer the consequences. Only buyers can make that happen.

Actually we have seen small rifle primers from CCI on a more regular basis then Winchester small rifle primers. CCI has QC issue with their BR4 primers, but their 400, 450, Mil Spec are out there. Federal has has some 205's and 205M's out there, and same with 210 and 210M along with 215 and 215M.
Try finding some Fed 150's? they have been problematic for a couple years! Rem 7.5's seem to come in spurts. Wolf's have dried up and same with Mag Techs. Winchester supposed is not planning to make WSR till summer?
