Copper Removal in Chrome Lined Barrel

I have an AR-15 with16" chrome lined barrel. I know I'm getting some copper in there but I'm afraid to clean it with an ammonia based cleaner (I use this on all my other rifels w/o chrome). At 1500 rounds I suspect its about time and I doubt that the CLP I'm using is gonna do the trick.

What do you pro's use on Chrome Lined Barrels???

Thanks

Tom

Try Breakfree Bore Foam.

Woks pretty good

Foaming bore cleaner always did a good job on my pistol.

Same thing I use on all my other barrels:
Shooter's Choice or
Butch's Bore Shine

I'll also use JB Bore paste once in a while.

Ammonia based cleaners only cause problems to chrome that is laid over copper. Hard Chromed barrels do not use copper under the hard chrome so the cleaners are safe to use.

Having said that, I also like BF Foaming Bore Cleaner.

I recommend trying BF FBC.
