Based on looking at LaRue's website the UDE looks grey. I know it isnt described as grey, but was just curious what it really looks like in person. Also, how would you describe the difference in color to the Magpul FDE? Is there a company out there that makes actual grey parts? Thanks!

grey is definately the best way to describe it. in natural light you can see the hints of brown and green, but its most definately grey. very interesting color, i love it for my work gun as i patrol an urban area. order a set of XTM panels from LaRue to get an idea. they look great staggered w/ black.

To my eyes it's gray with a touch of green which I can only see in good light, otherwise it's just a light gray color.

Yeah, def. this. I bought a couple of the UDE PMags and they definitely look grey, touch of green in them.

Larue UDE with a FDE P-Mag. I think the mag in the back 20 inch ar is a Brownells socom tan from bravocompany.

Funny thing is I still have this pic because I've been too lazy to take a new picture with the UDE p-mags that came in like a day or two after I took that one. Guess it can help you though.

Thanks for all of the input guys! ccosby, that pic is a huge help! Seems like the FDE is much more tan than grey, while the UDE is the opposite, which is basically what I was trying to figure out. The UDE is a sick color, thanks again everyone!

UDE is a super nice color. I'd say it's a cross between Foliage Green and FDE. I'm still waiting on LaRue to get UDE in a Duracoat paint so I can have paint other parts. That's the only thing holding me back from UDE is the limited part options.

I really like the color. Wish they had more things made in it. Anyway glad that pic helped you.
